07 jul Unhappy in a comfortable certainty,
Most people choose certainty above true happiness. Life for them is all about guarantees. Guarantees are obviously important in life, but guarantees have the power to develop themselves into something we live for. Most of us rather reassure themselves than taking that risk towards succes or passionate contentment. Time easily becomes a stumbling block for each and everyone of us. Comfortzones are created, and the longer it takes the more difficult it seems to break free of them.
Respond to every call that excites your spirit
It turns out that the more intimate we are with what we want, the more self-aware we will be about how we spend our time. – I will make time after things settle down at the office. When the kids are off to school I will .. When I have finished, whatever that could be, I .. – Real life arguments or better yet EXCUSES. We all know that life is all about perspective. So what if I tell you this: “Consider that if you’re not prioritizing the things you say you care about, you simply don’t care about those things”. Because you’ll make time for what you want, won’t you?
Time is what we want most, but what we use worst
We all have a net of obligations and time constraints, both real and imagined. A day has 24 hours, in which you can’t be productive every hour of them. Finding pockets of time for the things you love is a daily effort. Just never forget that time is our most precious gift in life and, I can not stress this enough, it’s all about MINDSET. There will never be anything easier than to keep doing (or thinking) what you are already doing.
Lost time is never found again. Act different, choose wisely.
What will it take for you to choose wisely? Do you need new, but most of all stronger beliefs? At an early age I planted a couple of beliefs in my mindset. “Where there is a will, there is a way”, was one of them and this belief instantly stimulated my intrinsic motivation. Especially when I combined it with: “Tomorrow is never promised”. The urge just simply becomes bigger when I think of them. “What if, just is’nt an option”. I have to say that throughout the years I also came to realize that we are actually looking for guarantees in a world of none. I have searched for them and I still search for them, because they give me a certain peace of mind. But what I did though, was challenge myself. What happens if I don’t cling to a certain amount of savings and lower the actual target? What happens if I quit my job? What will happen if I’ll only book a ticket and the actual first night at a hotel? What will happen if I’ll add two months New York to my already four month during sabbatical?
You didn’t choose it; you are simply acting out the collective pattern like a faithful worker bee.
It all boils down to the fact that a lot of us would love to paint a vivid life, but there is just too much color on their palette. Given the finite size of a palette, the risk is that the colors will start merging together and, as we all know, if your mix too many colors together, you don’t get a rainbow, you get grey. And I’m defenitely not talking about the 50 shades of Grey, that would have to be a different chapter.
We achieve when we stop waiting
WEDNESDAY WISDOM, (thank me later) .. All I can say is. STOP waiting for Monday(s), for summer, for someone to fall in love with you, for bumping into the right person, for the right financial opportunity. If not now? When? But in fact, there is no better time than now.
You don’t want LATER to become NEVER, do you?
